In the beginner's mind there are many possibilities,
ReplyDeleteIn the expert's, few.
Zen proverb.
Now that is profound and of critical importance. I believe that in order to progress and enhanced your knowledge, you must always ask questions. You may not voice them, but interest in a subject comes from the questions you have for it. I sit through classes bored when I have no questions needing or wanting to be answered. Its really each person's own fault if they don't enjoy a class...they need to be more inquisitive!
ReplyDeleteWhaaa? What's he mean by that? (I feel smarter already).
ReplyDeleteBut seriously, remember the (purportedly) old saw from some anonymous Chinese philosopher: "He who asks is a fool for five minutes. he who does not is a fool forever."
On the other hand, teachers used to say that there are no stupid questions. But we know that's bull.
Inquiring minds want to know!
