I’ll Take Alex Trebek for $1,000

“Be kinder to each other. I see America in a crisis situation right now in so many ways. And I want people to open up their hearts, and open up their hands, and open up their wallets to help each other. Because if ever there was a time when we needed to do that, that time is now.” . . .

“[T]his is a time where we have to come together. . . . These are the United States of America, and yet we’re so far apart in so many ways. And that, that upsets me. Let’s come together. Let’s be united. We’ve got nothing to lose.”

—Alex Trebek (1940-2020), host of TV’s “Jeopardy” since 1984, died yesterday. “Alex Trebek Is Here to Tell You, ‘The Answer Is . . . ,’” NPR, July 21, 2020. (Thanks to alert WORDster Richard Salzman)

Editorial Comment: Bzzzt. You have to state that in the form of question, Alex.
