Barbie Update: It was SRO at the REINVENTING BARBIE BASH at Utah State University on Tuesday, as awards were presented for the most moving, funny and inventive repurposed Barbies. More than 160 dolls (not counting animals and vehicles) were part of the month-long exhibit celebrating Women's History Month, and Barbie's 50th birthday.   1. And of course, the (presumably youngish) Economist author may understand the revolutionary changes happening among the young, but is clueless that it wasn't Bob Dylan but Steven Stills and Buffalo Springfield who sang "Something is happening here" ...

  2. Being of the parent-to-Boomers generation, I DON'T think "the kids are alright". I think they don't have a clue to the worth of professional journalism, and are going to be sadly awakened when there is no in-depth coverage of all the news and all the worst starts to happen.
