Breakneck“I get the feeling that the 24-hour news networks are like the bus in the movie ‘Speed.’ If they stop talking for a second, they think they’ll blow up.”

ReplyDeleteI think people who run the 24-hour news networks as background noise in their homes think if they turn them off, they'll die.
ReplyDeleteI think its so much better searching to find out the news then living on the word of mouth, fluff stories that only tap the surface of a real story.
ReplyDeleteWhat is Stewart talking about?? Doesn't he understand that if 24-hour networks stopped talking for even a second, we'll all die? Humanity as we know it will end. Because we all rely on them 100% and trust every word they say!!
ReplyDeleteJust kidding. While some 24-hour network news anchors are a bit big headed, it is a good place to go to get information on a situation quickly.
24 Hour news networks remind me of the movie "Anchorman." They fill time with stories like a panda giving birth, and cat runway shows. When something major happens, they thrive on that information and string out the news stories for days and weeks at a time.
